Anna: Hi there. In Washington, D.C. people do many things in the evening. They go listen to music. They eat at a restaurant. They go to the theater. Tonight I am going to the theater with my friends. But I don’t know what clothes to wear. Maybe this magazine can help.
아나: 안녕하세요. 워싱턴 DC에서는 저녁에도 사람들이 많은 것을 해요. 음악을 들으러 가고, 식당에서 외식을 하고, 극장에도 가요. 오늘밤 저도 친구와 극장에 가기로 했어요. 하지만 어떤 옷을 입어야 할 지 모르겠어요. 이 패션잡지가 도움이 되겠죠.

Anna: Her clothes are beautiful! I really want a friend like her to help me.
아나: 이 여성의 옷은 정말 아름답네요. 저를 도와줄 수 있는 이런 친구를 정말 원해요.

Anna: Who are you?
아나: 누구세요?

Genie: I am Genie! You want help. I am here to help you find the right clothes!
지니: 저는 지니예요! 당신이 도움을 원했죠. 그래서 당신이 알맞은 옷 고르는 걸 돕기 위해 왔어요.

Anna: Awesome! How about jeans and a t-shirt?
아나: 굉장해요! 청바지와 티셔츠는 어떨까요?

Genie: No! Jeans and a t-shirt are too casual. How about something more formal?
지니: 아니요! 청바지와 티셔츠는 너무 가벼운 차림이에요. 좀 더 격식을 차린 옷은 어떨까요?

Anna: Sure!
아나: 그래요!

Anna: Wow! Genie, this dress is beautiful. But it’s not the right size. It’s too small.
아나: 와! 지니, 이 드레스는 아름다워요. 하지만 저한테 맞는 치수가 아니에요. 너무 작아요.

Genie: Yes, it is too small. But green looks great on you.
지니: 그래요, 너무 작네요. 하지만 녹색은 아주 잘 어울려요.

Anna: Thanks.
아나: 고마워요.

Genie: Take off the green dress. Let’s try a green shirt and a skirt.
지니: 그 녹색 드레스를 벗고, 녹색 셔츠와 치마를 입어보죠.

Anna: Oh, Genie! This green shirt is too large and this orange skirt is too orange.
아나: 오, 지니! 이 녹색 셔츠는 너무 크고, 이 주황색 치마는 너무 주황색이에요.

Genie: Yes, the right size for you is medium. Let’s try again.
지니: 그래요, 미디엄이 맞는 사이즈인 것 같아요. 다시 입어보죠.

Anna: Oh, I don’t like this outfit.
아나: 오, 이런 옷은 좋아하지 않아요.

Genie: No. That does not match.
지니: 그래요, 어울리지 않네요.

Anna: Nothing.
아나: 전혀요.

Anna: These clothes are formal: a suit jacket, a dress shirt and a tie! They look great!
아나: 이건 격식을 차린 옷차림이네요. 양복 저고리에 와이셔츠, 넥타이! 아주 좋아 보여요!

Genie: Those clothes look great … for a man! Something is wrong.
지니: 아주 좋아 보이죠…남자한테요! 뭔가 잘못됐어요.

Anna: Let me see.
아나: 제가 한 번 볼게요.

Anna: There. Now try.
아나: 자. 이제 한 번 해보세요.

Genie: Oh. Thanks! Now these clothes look great on you!
지니: 오. 고마워요! 이제 이 옷들은 당신에게 아주 잘 어울리네요!

Anna: They do! Um, Genie, can you put on a gold belt?
아나: 그래요! 음, 지니, 금 허리띠를 매줄 수 있어요?

Genie: Sure!
지니: 그럼요!

Anna: That looks great.
지니: 아주 좋아 보여요.

Anna: Can you put on a jacket?
아나: 재킷도 입혀줄 수 있어요?

Genie: Why not?
지니: 왜 안되겠어요?

Anna: I love the jacket! How about a hat?
아나: 이 재킷이 정말 마음에 들어요! 모자는 어떨까요?

Genie: Why not?
지니: 그거 좋죠.

Genie: Mm, take off the hat. That’s better.
지니: 음, 그 모자는 벗어요. 이게 낫네요.

Anna: Genie, these clothes look and feel great! Let’s go to the theater!
아나: 지니, 이 옷은 정말 멋있고 느낌도 훌륭해요! 이제 극장에 같이 가요!

Genie: Sorry, Anna. I have to help other friends. Go to the magazine if you want me to help again.
지니: 미안해요, 아나. 다른 친구들도 도와야 하거든요. 또 저의 도움을 원할 때는 그 패션잡지를 찾아요.

Anna: Thanks, Genie. Sure thing. Goodbye!
아나: 고마워요, 지니. 당연하죠. 안녕!

Genie: Goodbye!
지니: 안녕!
