Lesson 11 저희 동네예요. This Is My Neighborhood.

Anna: Hello! DC is a city for walking. In our neighborhood, I can do all my errands. Marsha, before we get ice cream, I need to return three books to the library. Where is the library?
아나: 안녕하세요! DC는 걷기 좋은 도시예요. 웬만한 용무는 주변에서 다 해결할 수 있어요. 마샤, 아이스크림을 사러 가기 전에 책 3권을 도서관에 반납해야 해요. 도서관이 어디에 있죠?

Marsha: It is on this street on the corner.
마샤: 이 길 모퉁이에 있어요.

Anna: Awesome!
아나: 잘 됐네요!

Marsha: Let's go!
마샤: 갑시다!

Anna: Marsha, I can return the books here.
아냐: 마샤, 여기에 책을 반납할 수 있어요.

Marsha: Anna, what are those in the books?
마샤: 아나, 책 속에 그게 뭐죠?

Anna: Marsha, these are letters to my family and friends back home … four letters! Is there a post office near here?
아나: 마샤, 이건 고향에 있는 가족과 친구들에게 보내는… 편지 네 통이에요! 여기 근처에 우체국이 있나요?

Marsha: Um, no. The post office is far from here. But there is a mailbox across from the store.
마샤: 음, 아니요. 우체국은 여기서 멀어요. 하지만 상점 건너 편에 우체통이 있어요.

Anna: Awesome! Let’s go!
아나: 잘 됐네요! 갑시다!

(At the mailbox)
(우체통 앞에서)

Anna: Marsha, now I need to buy stamps.
아나: 마샤, 이제 우표를 사야 해요.

Marsha: Do you have cash?
마샤: 현금을 가지고 있어요?

Anna: No. Is there a bank near here?
아나: 아니요. 근처에 은행이 있나요?

Marsha: There is a bank behind you.
마샤: 바로 뒤에 은행 있잖아요.

Anna: Thanks, Marsha. You know our neighborhood so well.
아나: 고마워요, 마샤. 우리 동네를 정말 잘 아시네요.

Anna: Now I have cash. I can buy stamps.
아나: 이제 현금도 있으니까, 우표를 살 수 있네요.

Marsha: That store sells stamps.
마샤: 저 가게에서 우표를 팔아요.

Anna: Wait here.
아나: 여기서 기다리세요.

Anna: I have stamps.
아나: 우표 있어요.

Marsha: Wow, you’re fast.
마야: 우와, 빠르시네요.

Anna: Thank you, thank you letters, for sending my words… my love … to my family and friends –
아나: 고마워, 고마워 편지들아. 가족과 친구들에게 내 얘기와… 사랑을… 보낼 수 있게 해줘서…

Marsha: Do you have more cash?
마샤: 현금 더 있어요?

Anna: I do!
아나: 있어요!

Marsh and Anna: Ice cream!!
마샤와 아나: 아이스크림!!

Anna: I love my new neighborhood! Everything is near our apartment! Even hair salons*, and ice cream!
아나: 전 새로 살게 된 동네가 정말 좋아요. 아파트 가까이에 모든 게 있거든요. 미장원과 아이스크림 가게까지요!
